About the Position:
Are you a results-driven sales leader with a passion for digital marketing and client success? Do you thrive on building relationships, driving revenue growth, and strategizing for long-term customer success? If so, we want to meet you!
As a Senior Account Director at The HOTH, you’ll be at the forefront of our sales efforts, driving revenue and strategic growth across not just The HOTH but also our sister brands, Authority Builders and LinkBuilder.io. This is a highly visible, high-impact role where you’ll be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, nurturing enterprise-level relationships (>100k ARR), and developing long-term client partnerships.
Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will not only be responsible for closing high-value deals but also for developing and maintaining relationships that drive sustainable, long-term growth for our clients and our business. We are looking for a sales leader who can think like a consultant, understanding each client’s unique needs and crafting tailored strategies that align with their digital marketing goals. Your ability to innovate, adapt, and stay ahead of industry trends will be essential in helping The HOTH and its sister brands continue to dominate the SEO and link-building space.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in mid-market and enterprise companies.
- Deliver persuasive presentations and demos tailored to the prospect’s goals.
- Qualify leads to ensure they align with our target market and are a good fit for our services.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to refine messaging, strategy, and outreach efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Occasional travel to onsite client meetings (3-4 times per year).
What You’ll Do (A Day in the Life):
- 50%: Sales & Account Growth.
- Kick off your morning by reviewing your pipeline and prioritizing follow-ups with prospects and existing clients.
- Send personalized outreach emails and make calls to potential clients, introducing them to The HOTH, Authority Builders, and LinkBuilder.io.
- Host discovery calls to understand client needs and present tailored SEO and digital marketing solutions.
- Identify upsell opportunities and introduce clients to additional offerings that fit their business goals.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, overcoming objections, and closing deals to hit your monthly targets.
- 20% - Strategic Account Management & Client Success
- Check in with existing clients via email or Zoom to ensure they’re seeing success with our services.
- Analyze campaign performance data and recommend service adjustments to optimize results.
- Resolve any client concerns quickly and efficiently to maintain long-term partnerships.
- 15% - Internal Collaboration & Leadership
- Meet with the fulfillment team to discuss client orders and ensure smooth execution.
- Collaborate with the Head of Sales to refine sales strategies and improve processes.
- Join team huddles to share insights, best practices, and success stories.
- 10% - Data Analysis & Reporting
- Review CRM data and update notes on client interactions, ensuring accurate tracking of deals.
- Analyze sales reports to assess trends, track progress, and adjust your strategy accordingly.
- Prepare and present sales performance insights to leadership.
- 5% - Continuous Learning & Industry Engagement
- Read up on the latest SEO and digital marketing trends to stay sharp.
- Attend internal training sessions or industry webinars to refine your sales approach.
- Network with industry professionals to build connections and uncover new opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- 6+ years of proven experience in sales, business development, or account management—preferably in SEO, digital marketing, or media.
- A strong track record of managing high-value client accounts and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with a consultative sales approach.
- An understanding of SEO, digital marketing strategies, and client acquisition.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
- Self-motivated, success-driven, and excited by a variable compensation plan based on personal performance.
